Lady Gaga: ‘Born This Way’ – New Album Breaks iTunes Records







Lady Gaga’s new album, “Born This Way,” broke the iTunes record for fastest selling No 1 single and most Number 1s. The CD already hit Number 1 in 23 countries, including the Canada, Mexico, Japan, and the UK. Gaga also broke the record for fastest selling No.1 in the history of the US iTunes store.

She pre-released three singles from the album: “Born This Way,” “Judas,” and “The Edge of Glory.” The title track is Gaga’s third number one song in America, with the album’s second single, “Judas,” making American Top 40.

  This 14 track album encompasses this international pop star in all her self-guided bizarreness. The Superstar has sold over 15 million albums over the past year.

Lady Gaga was awarded the No.1 spot on Forbes Top 100 Celebrities, stealing the spot from Oprah as the most powerful celebrity.  Forbes justified its decision by citing Gaga’s social media influence.  Lady Gag has 10 million followers on twitter compared to Oprah’s 5.8 million.  Gaga also had 32 million followers on Facebook.
